The Great American Novel? Maybe not but NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month, is a competition to write a 50,000 word novel entirely in the month of November. Beginning on November 1st, (but you can sign up any time during October or November), this contest is for writers of all ages who are willing to take the challenge.
